Fara San Martino is a wonderful historical small village located close to Majella Mountain and to a beautiful stream named Verde. It is a gateway to Majella National Park, composed of seven hundred km of mountain track to explore the park and its fantastic natural beauty.
Passing through the ravine named Gole di San Martino, not so far from the village, it is possible to appreciate the view of a unique landscape and to access one of the most important Italian canyons (14 km). Several activities, such as picnicking or trekking, are organized near the river; while during winter it is possible to ski in the Alto Sangro area (30 km of slopes with lifts).
A thirty minute drive from Fara San Martino is the Costa dei Trabocchi, a 70 km coastline with numerous sandy and rocky beaches.
